Olympix pH is our low-fuming pH adjuster, developed as a cleaner, more user-friendly alternative to traditional hydrochloric acid for pools and water treatment.
Our story
From one pallet to a regional operation.
David and Lorna Skewes started Colonial Chemicals in 1993 with a typewriter, an invoice book and a belief that country customers deserved local knowledge and dependable supply.
That first order became a family enterprise manufacturing in the Tamworth region and dispatching essential products thousands of kilometres across regional NSW each year.

Last-minute deliveries, isolated sites, emergency support and straightforward advice have been part of the job from day one.
Positive change through every encounter
A growing business
should grow opportunity.
Our business and staff proudly sponsor more than 50 children through a number of organisations, helping support access to clean water, food, shelter, education and a more hopeful future.
See what matters to usEvery delivery, project and customer relationship helps make this ongoing support possible.
Environmental responsibility
We live where
we work.
Our Tamworth-region manufacturing and distribution facilities share an 800-acre New England property with the family home and working Merino farm. Environmental stewardship is personal here.
A large-scale solar system supplies the majority of electricity across manufacturing, warehousing and offices.
Rainwater harvesting, natural spring water and continual water-reduction initiatives support responsible operations.
Suitable drums and IBCs are professionally reconditioned and returned to service wherever possible.
Our certified Environmental Management System drives accountable risk management and continual improvement.
